Hand rank

Video poker hands for non-wild card games, ranked in descending order, are:

Royal Flush Straight Flush 4 of a Kind Full House Flush Straight 3 of a Kind 2 Pair Jacks or better

A video poker machine always pays the highest possible hand. Therefore, even though a Royal Flush is also a Straight Flush, it is always paid as a Royal Flush.

While it is important that you recognize each poker hand, it is not necessary that you memorize the ranking of each hand because it appears on the video poker game screen or on a printed card attached to the front of the machine.
